Allan M. Migdall ATTY- Well Known Scientist in Optics
In the field of Science, it is necessary to understand the theoretical aspects of it supported by in depth researches and also by practicing it. It is science that helps you unveil the suspense of unknown facts. Many technological developments have taken place in our lives due to various scientific researches, which has made our day to day tasks much simpler.
Science has also helped us to see lot of things that cannot be seen with our naked eyes. Any scientific concept can help you understand several new processes. However, there are only a few people who have got that kind of vision to understand the complexity the science possesses. Allan M. Migdall ATTY can be considered in one of such category, which understands the inference of various scientific researches quite well.
Allan M. Migdall ATTY is a man of physics, and he has done specialization in the field of Quantum Optics and has been working in Quantum Measurement sector. He is among the very few science wizards who have been involved in many in depth researches of quantum optics. He has worked on single photon sources, processors, detectors, quantum memory for compulsion and cryptography quantum. He is the head of Quantum Optics group at the national Institute of Science & Technology. He is partly involved with Joint Quantum Institute of the Maryland University and also the Physical Society of America. At the same time, he is a member of Society of Photo Optical Instrumentation Engineers and Optical Society of America.
In order to expand his dedication and accomplishment in his chosen field, he has organized many workshops and conferences on the subjects like single photon detector & its source technology. He has also written about this topic, which was published with the Single Photon Detector title. NIST also endorsed this publication later. He also headed another conference, which was related to metrology and its application. Since 2011, in Italy and in the UK, the metrology researches have been going on regular basis at the dedicated laboratory.
In addition to his various achievements, Mr. Allan M. Migdall ATTY has also addressed audiences as an OSA Eastman/President since 1997. He usually delivers his lecture in many colleges and universities. He has been a helping hand for many undergraduate and graduate students by creating opportunity in the field of research and science. Besides that, he is also an advisor at the National Academy of Science in the optics programs for mid level school students.
It is only because of his contributions, he was awarded with NRC post doctoral fellowship in the year 1984. Thereafter, in the year 2007, he became a member of the American Physical Society, where he was awarded with bronze Medal in 2009 for his various achievements.
